I have setup per the instructions and Google is not showing the conversions. I followed these steps in the link below, but here’s my question. If you have the Google analytics code on the Thank You page, some members when they pay don’t get redirected to that thank you page. So, how will it get recorded? Some members do click to go back so that would get recorded. How can we get it to record the conversion every time?
Hi, Google Analytic eCommerce tracking can only work on the “Thank You” page. This is how Google designed it work. If a user doesn’t get to the “Thank You” page then that transaction can’t be tracked.
If you setup Auto Return in your PayPal account then the customer will get redirected to the “Thank You” page automatically after payment which should help. Check this documentation for setting this up:
That’s what I was thinking but here’s my situation. I have one PayPal account and 3 domains so having it redirect back to one site is not good unless there’s a way to redirect back to the site the user was just at. That possible? Where would I set that up at?
eStore will always redirect the user to the site the user purchased the product from.
You just have to follow this documentation and set it up:
