I just purchased e-store and pdf stamper. When I try to install either of them on WordPress 3.1, hosted on Godaddy, via Add New plugin method (upload zip), the Uploading Plugin screen says “unpacking the package…” and gets stuck there, and when I check via an ftp program, the directories and files are in the ‘/wp-content/upgrade’ folder and not in the ‘/wp-content/plugins’ folder.
Delete the folder from your upgrade directory (not sure what Godaddy is trying to do). Godaddy and its never ending hosting issues
Use the FTP method to upload the plugins to your server. If you watch the 1st video tutorial from the following page you will see that it has 2 different ways to install the plugin (use the 2nd method only):
