Free Trial Version with Software License Manager Integration

Hello, I have purchased your eStore Product and I also have License Manager Software. I cannot seem to find the ability to offer a free trial with license (Paid product with license is no problem)

I also have your free download Squeeze page integration however a license # is not being generated using the {slm_data} tag.

Can you please direct me on how to complete this functionality with your application.

Integration with software license manager is done when a customer purchase a product. This is what most people want so thats the first integration we have done:

There is no free option. If you want to give a software for free, then you just give it free from your site.

We can look into integrating it with eStore’s squeeze form which will create the free option you are looking for. So a customer submitting the squeeze form of a product (that has license manager integration) will get a license key with the item download. Let me know if that will help.

My software is actually just one piece of software. I have configured your license # in a way so that depending upon the license #, the software then determines if its a Free License or a Paid Licenses (If its free, then the software will just lock some features automatically)

Also giving a free software with license allows me also to track free copies and turn them off if they are abused.

I have downloaded the squeeze form which is good, however I would just need to know how to generate the license #. I am willing to try using your php code, but i need just a bit of guidance on how to do that if its a custom solution.

Your products are great, thanks so much for the help. Also in the future, other users may want to track free versions with licenses as well so this could be something for lots of people.

Hi Thanks for your reply, I have seen both of those previously, and again just now, however neither article describes any specific events in which a license key is generated and emailed from a free product (a product that is not passed through PayPal or a payment processor)

This would be a great feature, can you point me in the right direction and maybe i can program it myself or have someone do it for me if needed?

I have added an integration for this. So now you can use the {slm_data} tag in the squeeze form email settings and it will generate the key and send it to the user.

I am trying to use {slm_data} tag, but the squeeze form settings seems to omit it and just sends this tag as text.
