I’ve tried this on two separate sites – just to make sure there was no other conflict or suchlike but when you use the following code
<?php echo eMember_compact_login_widget(); ?> and also set the “Enable Fancy Login Widget” setting to true and use Style 2 the “Join us” link doesn’t work it just links back to the same page you are currently on.
February 26, 2012 at 2:01 am #42339adminKeymasterWhat version of eMember are you using? Please post a link to the page where I can go and see this.
February 26, 2012 at 10:06 am #42340greencodeSpectator[http://www.susiepearl.co.uk/] click on Login in the top right corner and hover over “Join us” to see where the page is linked to – you’ll see whatever page you’re on it’s the same as that page rather than going to the page I’ve specified in the settings.
February 26, 2012 at 11:53 pm #42341adminKeymasterThank you. You didn’t tell me which version of eMember you are using but I am pretty sure if you load a fresh build of the plugin you won’t see this issue anymore:

February 27, 2012 at 4:14 pm #42342greencodeSpectatorI’m using Version v7.6.2
February 27, 2012 at 11:14 pm #42343adminKeymaster1. Have you loaded a new build of the plugin as suggested in the last post?
2. What value do you have in the “Membership Payment/Join Page” field under the pages/forms settings menu?
February 27, 2012 at 11:21 pm #42344greencodeSpectatorSorry. I requested the update manually and I’m stil yet to receive it. I’ve managed to download the latest version automatically just now.
Is it safe to simply overwrite my previous version of the plugin? Obviously remembering to copy my custom stylesheet over to the new version.
February 27, 2012 at 11:25 pm #42345greencodeSpectatorForget my previous post. I’ve just found the link for upgrading: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/wp-emember-installation-upgrade-instructions-3
August 26, 2013 at 11:54 pm #42346RavMemberHi, I know this has been resolved years ago but I have the same problem. I was thinking of creating a new thread but thought of keeping everything in one place.
I am using Version v8.7.2. And I have re-installed it a few times to see if it would fix itself but no such luck.
The username is “rav123” and the password is “rav123”, without the quotation marks.
My problem is that I can login successfully using [wp_eMember_compact_login]
but when I try to log in using this shortcode (it used to work) it simply would not work now.
<?php echo eMember_compact_login_widget(); ?>
It diverts the page similar to successful login scenario but just does not login the user.
Any help would be much appreciated!
August 27, 2013 at 4:54 am #42347adminKeymasterYou have maintenace mode enabled so I can’t check your site.
August 27, 2013 at 11:06 pm #42348RavMemberHi, sorry for that. You can try now.
Thanks
August 28, 2013 at 12:55 am #42349RavMemberOne more thing, Do you think the login widget is not working because when i sign up, before it creates a new user I get an error on a page that says “Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/admin/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/eMember_misc_functions.php on line 441”
Let me know if you need to know anything.
Thanks
August 28, 2013 at 8:40 am #42350adminKeymasterCan you please turn off the fancy login option on this site so I can do a test after that.
August 28, 2013 at 1:55 pm #42351RavMemberit is off now.
August 28, 2013 at 11:42 pm #42352adminKeymasterThank you. It works without that fancy login. So the JavaScript portion is not working on your site correctly and I am pretty sure it is because of that JS error you have on your site. Please fix that JavaScript error on your site which is NOT coming from eMember. The following resource should be helpful:
