I use eMember to handle the membership and content permissions. I also have eStore which I intend to use for membership payments. I already have set up the integration so the payment is done with paypal (sandbox).
If someone subscribe through the eStore buy button and start a recurring subscription via PayPal, will eStore suspend the account if the subscriber cancel the recurring subscription (from their paypal account)? And will I get a message from eMember that a subscriber decided to unsubscribe?
The eStore product is configurd with the membershiplevel for eMember.
When testing I didnĀ“t get any notifications from eMember (or eStore), or do I have to use paypals direct payment buttons where IPN is used?

Yes. The membership will be changed to “inactive”. The member won’t be able to log into the site anymore.
will I get a message from eMember that a subscriber decided to unsubscribe?
You will get a notification from PayPal.
