On our live site visitors are unable to add products to the shopping cart. When logged into WordPress the plug-in works flawlessly.
To reproduce the problem: On the shop page try to add any product to the cart. The cart will remain empty. I am using the “Allow Shopping Cart Anchor” and the cart is located near the bottom of the page in the center of the page
I called GoDaddy for assistance on this but after 45 minutes of 2 tech agents looking at it they were also stumped. It worked fine for them when logged into wordpress but not on the live site as a visitor.
Our shop page is located here: [janicesmylie-eft.com/tap-along-shop]
We’re using WordPress version 5.4.1
Our theme is OceanWP v1.8.3.
The WP eStore plugin version is 8.1.6 (wp-cart-for-digital-products) I just did an update today to try to fix the problem with no luck.
An assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
May 14, 2020 at 1:00 am #80581adminKeymasterLooks like a caching issue. If it is always showing a cached page that doesn’t contain the cart items, then it can have this issue. Is your hosting provider or you using any caching on this page?
May 14, 2020 at 8:20 am #80582JanSmylieSpectatorI asked GoDaddy that question. They said the CDN caches pages but showed me how to clear it. I’ve been clearing every time I test the page but no luck. They said there’s no other caching.
I’ve also been clearing the WordPress cache frequently as well as browser history.
GoDaddy also said they’ve never seen a cart plugin that worked flawlessly when logged into a WordPress site but not for visitors. I’ve also been testing on a separate PC with the same results.
It worked perfectly until a few days ago when I reinstalled the plugin for other issues.
Any other ideas?

Please try again, by downloading a fresh copy of the plugin.

You might also want to investigate the possibility of PHP session configuration issues.
