The thumbnails will display correctly, but squashed. When I enable the smart option, they don’t show up at all. If I click on the thumbnail, lightbox shows the image correctly.
The url of the thumbnail is correct (it’s the same as the lightbox)
Could this have to do with the caching directory not being writable? If so, what directory is used?
Note that on my link, I switched back to non-smart images & cropped the image myself.
I would really like to be able to get smart images set up properly though, as it would save a lot of time.
The smart thumbnail generation library has problem on some servers if the server doesn’t have the fopen functionality enabled. Do you have the permission for the image caching directory correct?
If the library fails to open the images using fopen then it won’t be able to generate the cropped thumbnails automatically.
where is the image caching directory located?
It is inside the “lib” directory. So look for the following directory:
wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/lib/cache
