estore subscribe button not working with Pay Pal

Hello, I have read the docs and viewed the Add a Subscription button video. I have done this and get the following from Pay Pal:

“You have entered an invalid amount. Please make sure that all punctuation marks are in the correct places and that you only include the numeric portion of your amount. For example, if the amount is $5.00 USD, you would enter 5.00.”

The video states that I can enter other characters into the price section (i.e. 10.99 a month for 6 months)

I would also like the PayPal button and not the purple one. I made a product in Estore and used the fancy subscribe shortcode, following the instructions in the video.

Could it be some setting from eMember? I searched the forum and this problem was not here.

You have specified a value of “$10.99” In the “Recurring Billing Amount” field of the product. Please change that to “10.99” and you should be good.

You can customize the subscribe button and use a custom button image for it. Here is how to do it:
