Hi there, What I would like to do is create a landing page that announces a free webinar or teleclass, captures the prospects name and email, sends a confirmation, and subsequently adds them to an autoresponder in Mailchimp.
I have read various documentation here and on Mailchimp, as well as perused the forums for a similar situation someone else may have faced. I apologize if this question has already been answered, as I wasn’t able to locate it.
I am using the eStore Stylish Squeeze Form Addon, and the URL where I am testing everything is at [http://yoursignaturecoaching.com/testing/]
The shortcode I used for the form is [wp_eStore_ssf id=3 button_text=”Sign Me Up!”]
I set up an autoresponder message in Mailchimp. As you likely already know, autoresponders are associated with specific lists. In this case, the List name is “Test List,” and I’ve set up a couple of Groups: “Group A” and “Group B.”
The documentation at [http://connect.mailchimp.com/integrations/wp-estore-mailchimp-] integration indicates that I should be able to automatically subscribe those who opt-in using the Squeeze page to the Interest Group.
When I set up the product, in the autoresponder settings, I typed in “Group A.”
In the product specific instructions for buyer, I listed the following:
Here are your call-in details:
WHAT: Complimentary TeleCall/Webinar
WHEN: Day, Month, Date, Year; Time; Time Zone
WHERE: Your phone, computer, or tablet
COST: FREE!
I also added a Return URL (It’s currently [http://SellingWithSpirit.com], but when I create a “real” one, it will be the thank you page for the specific telecall or webinar.).
When everything was set, I tested it by registering/subscribing myself. The automatic email I received was the following (with the subject line “Free download link”):
Dear Tshombe
Below is your download link:
Dummy Product – This product does not have any downloadable content
Thank You
The redirect URL worked as expected. However, as you can see, none of the product specific information was included.
Additionally, the autoresponder message I set up in Mailchimp did not arrive.
So, here are the questions I need support on:
#1: How can I customize the subject line of the autogenerated email the prospect receives after sign-up? Since this isn’t a download, it would be helpful to alter it to something more relevant.
#2: How do I include custom content in the autogenerated email?
#3: What am I doing incorrectly that the autoresponder in Mailchimp is not activated?
Thank you so much for the help.

February 7, 2014 at 2:44 am #60690adminKeymasterHi, Go to the following settings area and it should answer your first 2 questions:
eStore Settings -> Email Settings -> Squeeze Form Email Settings
Before you do the interest groups, I want you to make sure that the standard mailchimp signup to a list is working. Please do what the following documentation says and let me know if you have any trouble getting that to work first:

February 7, 2014 at 6:09 pm #60691tshombeMemberHi there,
Thanks so much for the quick response. I actually do not have a “Squeeze Form Email Settings” option under “Email Settings.” I’m working with v 6.9.8.2 Is that the most updated version?
To make sure I’m clear on your next direction, are you asking me to initiate another test for this specific main list? I ask because I have used the regular squeeze form here at [http://yoursignaturecoaching.com/update-beliefs/], and those who downloaded the guide were also successfully signed up to a list (not an interest group).
February 7, 2014 at 10:45 pm #60692adminKeymasterGrab another copy of estore now and you should see those settings:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/re-install-or-load-a-fresh-build-of-the-plugins
If you have test the mailchimp signup and it works then thats good enough (I just wanted to make sure that the main list signup works before we investigate the interest group signup thing.
After you update the plugin, please make sure you specified the interest group like it is explained in the following post:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/estore-mailchimp-group-integration
Let me know how you go after that.
February 7, 2014 at 11:50 pm #60693tshombeMemberHey there,
Thanks so much for this support. When I updated the plugin, the “Squeeze Form Email Settings” were available to edit. Thanks!
Unfortunately, when I added the tag {product_specific_instructions}, those instructions did not appear in the test email I received.
I did note this below the “Squeeze Form Email Body” box:
You can use the following email tags in this email:
{first_name} – First name of the user
{last_name} – Last name of the user
{product_link} – Download link of the product the squeeze form is giving.
Does this mean no other tags are supported?
February 9, 2014 at 12:23 am #60694adminKeymasterA few other tags are also supported actually. Its a free download so the limitation comes from the fact that we don’t have all the information like we do for a payment gateway checkout. I will make the product specific instructions tag available for it because that should be doable.
February 9, 2014 at 10:59 pm #60695tshombeMemberExcellent! Thank you so much. I appreciate you doing this for me/us, and I look forward to testing it.
I know there is a list of tags generally. Is there a similar list for just the product squeeze forms/downloads?
Thank you!
