Can this be done: Not display a base price under the item and display price instead in the variation drop-down (instead of +)?
For example: I am selling photo prints. The only variation is size, and each will be a different price. So, instead of putting $8.00 under the thumbnail and for variation, 8×10 size +1.00, I could only have the actual price in the variation: 8×10 $9.00
The thing is, for these products there really is no “base”. The customer must choose a variation.
Hi, I can give you a tweak to hide the display price but you need to show a symbol for the variation to work. You can choose to use a different symbol instead of ‘+’. Ok..what I did was simply delete the + symbol and not put any symbol in the variation symbol field. Then, I entered 0.001 for the base price and put the full price as the variations and it seems to work. But even though I saved the changes, when I go back to the admin panel the + symbol is back. I’m not sure why. It does not show up in the drop down menu which is good. This is what my test page looks like with it:

Hi, the link you shared is broken. Since you left the field empty the plugin automatically showed the default value ‘+’. But if it works as expected on the front end I guess you don’t need to worry about it.
