I am using the NextGen addon and am selling prints of images in a gallery. There’s only 20 per page, and when I add one to the cart I can’t see it till I navigate to the last page of the gallery and then the cart shows up on the bottom. I am using the “cart when not empty” shortcode directly below the gallery shortcode on the page. If I put the cart in a widget, it will display on the sidebar of the first page as it should. It only doesn’t when the cart is on-page.
October 13, 2013 at 11:13 pm #58315wpCommerceModeratorHi, You can place another shopping cart shortcode before the gallery shortcode to get around this issue. For example:
[cart shortcode goes here]
[gallery shortcode goes here]
[cart shortcode goes here] (which will appear on page 2)October 14, 2013 at 4:36 am #58316BruceMemberI just tried that, and it does not work. I added something from page 1 to the cart and the page did not refresh, so I refreshed it manually and it still wasn’t there. But when I click on page 2, the cart now shows up both above and below the gallery grid on page 2, and then if I go back to page 1 it also shows up above and below the images. Its like it will not display any cart until I first go to the last page. And in the settings, I have checked “allow shopping cart anchor”.
October 14, 2013 at 10:17 pm #58317wpCommerceModeratorHi, I have already replied to your post here: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/estore-show-prices-only-in-variation
We will need to take a closer look at your gallery page to see what is happening.
October 16, 2013 at 1:56 am #58318BruceMemberPossibly the reason you couldn’t see that link was that it was a draft/preview page. This one should work – here is my test gallery page so you can see this shopping cart behavior:

October 16, 2013 at 11:48 pm #58319adminKeymasterPlease use the following shopping cart shortcode:
[wp_eStore_cart]
October 17, 2013 at 1:49 am #58320BruceMemberOk, when I do that the cart shows on each page. But how can I get it to not be there when there is nothing in the cart?
October 17, 2013 at 10:32 pm #58321adminKeymasterAre you using the ajax option on the cart or the estore advanced variations addon?
October 18, 2013 at 1:28 am #58322BruceMemberI am using the Advanced Variation addon, yes. Not sure about ajax, where do I find that?
October 19, 2013 at 12:08 am #58323adminKeymasterokay the issue is that the advanced variations addon works with our main shopping cart shortcode which is the following:
[wp_eStore_cart]
There is a little bit of a technical limitation to make the advanced variations addon to work with the other cart shortcodes. So there are two ways we can handle that.
1) Deactivate the advanced variations addon after you have finished configuring the variations.
or
2) I can give you a CSS tweak as a workaround.
October 19, 2013 at 4:47 am #58324BruceMemberI did deactivate that addon, and now the cart shows on each page. I think for now I’ll leave the variation entry the basic way while I move on to configuring and setting up other areas.
