eStore – Redirect to Manual Checkout For Zero Amount Purchase does nothing

I have “Use Multiple Payment Gateways” un-checked.

I have “Redirect to Manual Checkout For Zero Amount Purchase” checked.

The only payment gateway I have checked is “Manual”.

But when I click on a “Buy Now” button (for an item that is set to $0.00), it takes me to a PayPal checkout. Why?

“Buy Now” type buttons are only used for PayPal. They have no linkage with the standard shopping cart checkout.
