Tagged: event ticket sales, how to set up event tickets, iPPV, print ticket, season tickets, single tickets, subscription
Hi there –
I have been using this plugin for 2yeaqrs to do iPPV of live video streaming.
Most viewers buy tickets same day, so no problem.
But now I have viewers who want to buy in advance, either single events or an entire season.
What is the best way to set this up so that they pay and the links don’t expire???
If viewer A buys 1 event 1 day in advance,I’m good.
If Viewer B buys 1 event 2 weeks in advance, I don’t know how to set that without giving Viewer A access for 2 weeks also.
And what about Viewer C, who wants an entire season, and just wants one link to access content?
Am I asking for too much, or is there a way to do this?
Thanks in advance
You are getting into the realm of membership management. eStore’s PPV is not capable of managing all these different scenarios as it doesn’t handle user management facility.
Ideally, you want to use a membership plugin with different membership levels. Each level can represent a different event. When your customers buy access to a particular level, they get access to the corresponding event content.
How do I set set up multiple ticket class sales for a musical concert?Any documentation on this?
What do you mean by “ticket class?” Do you have an example, of how you’d like it to work?
You could combine several membership levels (events) with different products (ticket types), using both eMember and eStore.
Hi,
I mean
Tickets classes such as these three tickets for one event and discount applied for class B and C:
A-Single ticket (for an individual)
B-Couple ticket (for couples)
C-Group Ticket (for more than two people)
Thanks.
But, if I got your response correct, I should set up an event as a membership level, and set up different ticket classes or types as products?
Correct. BTW, was that only an example or do you really expect someone to pay for a “Class A” PPV ticket, and not invite the whole neighborhood (“Class C” PPV)? My parents used to hide us kids in the back of the car and only claim 2 people at the Drive-in theater.
yea it was only an example. Thanks
