I read some of you had that issue too.
Apparently my PayPal configuration does not return PDT result after purchase,
even my setup perfectly complete as shown in instructions.
And as result [wp_eStore_transaction_result:end] short code doesn’t intact.
I wanted to ask how did you solved that problem?

Hi, did you use these instructions to setup PDT and auto return in your PayPal account profile?April 11, 2012 at 2:41 am #43937
In addition to the above I forgot to add:
Can you please enable debug and make a test purchase or wait for a real purchase and then share the output of the ipn_handle_debug.log file.
See this link for instructions on enabling debug:April 11, 2012 at 7:08 pm #43938
Thank you for reply Peter,
Yes Instructions done, even Ivy and Ruhul checked that stuff about is everything seems correct.
There’s no FAIL or ERROR line on IPN log.
But somehow i can’t get PDT after purchase.
Not only sandbox, also testing it on production settings (with real credit card and store settings) too.April 11, 2012 at 11:02 pm #43939
As status update, somehow paypal started returning PDT data..
Didn’t changed anything since this thread started.
I really don’t understand the reason why it wasn’t working. :dooh:April 17, 2012 at 10:11 am #43940
I am having the same problem with the PDT not showing the encrypted link
on the Thank You page (after transaction successful http://screencast.com/t/uEN0kdjB).
I did the debug and got this which seems to indicate everything is OK –

So what is the problem?April 17, 2012 at 10:43 am #43941
Did you set up the PDT correctly?
See this post for more:
Also please see this post which may help:
Additionally, if you have been swapping between paypal sandbox and your real paypal account be sure to use the correct PDT token for your respective account.
Are you by any chance using the WP Affiliate plugin too?April 17, 2012 at 11:06 am #43942
The PDT is set correctly, exactly as both the video and text directed. I have the email from Paypal indicating that the PDT setup was successful.
Re: the the posts you directed me to. One of the posts is 2 years old (Ivy says “Turn off “auto redirect” on paypal profile” ). The other post is 1 year old (Ivy says “he old system where you had to have Auto Redirect turned off has been replaced with the new PDT option. This requires you to have Auto Redirect turned on.”
May I assume that the Auto Redirect in Paypal is supposed to be turned on? This is really confusing!!
I am not using the Sandbox.
I am not using the WP Affiliate plugin too.
So…Auto Redirect turned on or off?
And how do I even find the Auto Redirect box?April 17, 2012 at 11:15 am #43943
This is my PP website settings screenshot that works now..
Auto return and PDT is ON for me.April 17, 2012 at 11:12 pm #43944adminKeymaster
@larryt, PDT and auto return need to be both ON in your PayPal profile for the “Thank You” page display.
If there are two posts on a thread, then taking suggestion from the newer post is probably safer (the newer post do suggest that auto return be turned on).April 18, 2012 at 6:33 pm #43945
PDT and auto return are both ON in my my PayPal profile. The “Thank You” page is still not returning a link to the product. It is still showing the shortcode only.
I am using Paypal’s Micropayment processor instead of the standard payment processor. Is this plugin set up to handle Paypals Micropayment processor?April 19, 2012 at 3:21 am #43946adminKeymaster
Nope, that shouldn’t matter. Are you getting redirected to your “Thank You” page automatically after the payment with some “transaction” value appended in the URL?
Do a test transaction with debug option enabled. Then share the content of the following file after you land with the “Thank You” page:
This post will explain how to enable debug if you don’t know it already:April 19, 2012 at 4:38 am #43947
Thanks for the reply.
I have reset the log file you requested so the data is current.
I am being redirected to my Thank You page after about 7 seconds.
I don’t understand what you mean by “some “transaction” value appended in the URL?” above.
There you will see the text and then the shortcode instead of a download link about 1/2 way down the page.

#1. I don’t have an autoresponder set up
#2. I do get an email with an encrypted link to download the file
Apparently Paypal is telling you that I have paid for the item but, for some reason, your shortcode [wp_eStore_transactions_result:end] isn’t being populated with the encrypted link.

I had exact situation. You may not have any problem with your eStore setup or paypal setup.
I’m gonna suggest one final thing, just send a mail or open a ticket at paypal about the situation.
I hope you resolve that too.April 19, 2012 at 9:52 am #43949
@Yusuf – thanks for the advice. I called Paypal and they are “looking into” the problem. However, I think the problem within the plugin as I am getting the link in the email that is being sent, which means that the Paypal PDT is working.
What I am not getting is the link on the Thank You page, as you have read.
When you had the problem, were you getting the link in the email but not on the “Thank You” page?
