    I’m new to this so please be gentle with me.

    I’m making a multi-chapter technical manual available online (PDF) via the WP eStore along with PDF Stamper.

    My question is;

    I need to offer some chapters for free, and some chapters for sale.

    I have read that this can be done with a squeeze form, which gathers an email address, which sounds perfect.

    But – I’d like the products page to have a consistent appearance. If I add the squeeze page shortcode to the page, it puts the form fields on the same page, and I can’t add a thumbnail to it or edit it’s appearance. The theme I’m using is fancy2.

    Is there any way that the ‘free’ items can be created as a new product, (so that they look like all the other products), but when you click the button (download now or similar) instead of adding the item to the cart, it takes you to a separate page which has the ‘squeeze page’ on it?

    I hope this makes sense!

    Thanks in advance.

    You can do the following to achieve what you asked for.

    1) Create a new product in eStore.

    2) Specify the URL of your squeeze page in the “Button Redirect Target URL” field of that product.

    3) Use a custom button image for this product that says something like “Download Free Sample”. The following post explains how you can use custom button image:

    4) Now embed this product on your landing page.

    5) When the visitors click on the button from the front-end, it will take them to the page you specified in the “Button Redirect Target URL” field of the product.

    In case you haven’t seen this already, you should read the following post also which explains the various different ways you can offer a product for free:
