eStore not storing serial number, but customer receives serial number in email

Testing my site locally using the manual payment method.

The serial number is being emailed to the customer correctly, complete with a link to their download – but the ‘Serial Number Data’ for the order is not being populated, neither is the serial_number column in the estore_customer_tbl

What is going on, I need to see the serial provided to the customer for support purposes.

Thanks for your help. I am sorry to report that a clean install of this is still issuing the key to the user but not adding to the Serial Number Data field.
