I am setting up estore on my site Scrivenerforwindows.net and conducting test purchases. I get notification from paypal, but no estore notification to either seller or customer.
I have set the debug to write but nothing appears to be written in the logs.
I also looked at previous threads and tried using the estore email function instead of the WP email, also the email sent from is a proper email [support@scrivenerforwindows.net]
would love your pointers as to why this may not be working.
estore 7.1.5 wp 4.0
October 10, 2014 at 2:49 pm #66000wzpModeratorIf you enabled the debug logs, and clicked the Reset Logs button; each log file should have a reset message in it.
Please review this thread:
October 13, 2014 at 12:29 pm #66001DLchurchMemberI have reset debug, and this is reflected in the log..but the payment I just made is not. An email is still not being set to either vendor, or customer.
I do not need a post purchase page with links, I would like just the email sent to the customer (and one to me notifying of purchase) and nothing more, so PDT etc are not needed (I believe that is right is it not)
Any help would be so appreciated, what should I do next?
October 13, 2014 at 9:35 pm #66002wzpModeratorWhen you make a purchase, what is in the ipn_handle_debug.log file?
Also, please review this thread:
October 14, 2014 at 3:49 pm #66003DLchurchMemberNothing has been written to it. The reset of the logs is reflected there, but the purchase made after that reset logged zero info.
October 14, 2014 at 9:12 pm #66004blogmeistressMemberHi wzp, after many successful transactions using eStore on our site jevondangeli.com, we too are experiencing the fact that the emails with digital product links are no longer being sent to the customers. Are you able to assist with the following info? The ipn_handle_debug.log file after my test purchase looks like this:
[10/14/2014 8:55 PM] – SUCCESS :Paypal Class Initiated by 173.0.81.1 eStore Version: 6.9.9.1
[10/14/2014 8:55 PM] – SUCCESS :Post string :[redacted]
[10/14/2014 8:55 PM] – SUCCESS :Connection to paypal.com successfuly completed.
[10/14/2014 8:55 PM] – FAILURE :IPN validation failed.
[10/14/2014 8:55 PM] – SUCCESS :Paypal class finished.
The eStore_post_payment_debug.log.css looks like this:
[10/14/2014 8:54 PM] – SUCCESS :eStore PayPal PDT received. Processing the request using CURL method…
[10/14/2014 8:54 PM] – SUCCESS :eStore PDT – Affiliate platform is installed.
[10/14/2014 8:54 PM] – SUCCESS :Processing PayPal PDT…
[10/14/2014 8:54 PM] – FAILURE :The fund did not clear. Product will be delivered via email when the fund clears! Payment Status:
WP eStore v 6.9.9.1
Wordpress 3.8.4
Thank you,

There was something “wrong” with the payment; as in “…the fund is in a pending state in your paypal account.”
October 14, 2014 at 9:43 pm #66006wzpModeratorThe log is “empty” because the IPN is not being properly processed. Please follow the steps in this thread:

October 15, 2014 at 2:42 pm #66007blogmeistressMemberThank you wzp – Paypal is insisting that all payments have been completed on their side (which is what my Paypal seller’s account is reflecting) and that the issue is definitely somewhere on our side. I will follow your link now…
October 17, 2014 at 8:06 am #66008blogmeistressMemberUpdate:
Before proceeding to reinstall the plugin, I contacted Paypal again. Here is their reply:
“Those payments where, in general, initiated using a credit card as a funding source in the buyers PayPal account. When the credit card itself denies the funding the already initiated PayPal payment becomes the status “Denied”. Maybe the WordPress plug-in is not able to handle those denied payments. Please contact the WordPress plug-in support again and ask them how to handle them.”
Although I am not convinced about the credit card denying the funding (since the log file posted above produced the same failure message for my test purchase which was done using funds in my other Paypal account and not a credit card) I thought to inform you.
Just to confirm:
Do I understand correctly that once I have been emailed the upgraded eStore version, I can deactivate and delete the current eStore plugin, upload the new version via the “add new” plugin option, activate it and that all product pages will look and work exactly the same than before (incl. all the current settings?).
Thank you

Yes.
October 17, 2014 at 11:02 pm #66010adminKeymasterThis plugin can handle everything. Do a test after the upgrade and then send me the URL of your page so I can inspect a few things. If there is still an issue I will give you more specific details so when you talk to that PayPal tech guy he won’t say confusing things.
October 22, 2014 at 8:40 pm #66011blogmeistressMemberSuccess! Thank you for the emotional support, admin and wzp – after the upgrade both buyer and seller email got sent correctly.
