I am trying to install wp-cart-for-digital-products on my website. Running WordPress 4.4, theme Spacious, at dreamhost.
When I go to install the plugin from the zipped file, it unpacks the package, installs the plugin, and returns:
“The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.
Plugin install failed.”
I tried getting an updated version of the software, and this gave the same result.
It does not shop up in the plugins page. I have e-member installed on this site and I’ve installed this plugin on these theme before when I was using an earlier WordPress version (3.x)
Thanks
Hi, Usually this error occurs when you use the theme uploader to upload a plugin (and vice versa). Please do these steps:
1) Connect to your site via FTP and check the /wp-content/plugins
directory to make sure there is no other eStore copy left in your server. Completely remove the “wp-cart-for-digital-products” folder from there (if it exists)
2) Download and install a fresh copy of eStore plugin from this link: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/re-install-or-load-a-fresh-build-of-the-plugins
3) Watch our video tutorial so you can see how to upload the plugin and install it:

If you are still having issues let us know and we will jump on your site and take a look.
I uploaded a copy directly using the FTP in the plugins folder (had to upload an unzipped version for some reason).
Waited, then checked plugins and it doesn’t show up within wordpress. Is there some other way to activate and/or install once the folder is loaded using FTP?
I ended up deleting the whole thing, reinstalling via FTP, and then installing via wordpress. It still would not activate.
I went to editor and chose the plugin readme file.
Went back to installed plugins and amazingly it showed up. Activated it.
All set.
