I am trying to list some products without the Add to Cart option. I am using the
[wp_eStore_product_details id=5 info="description"]
shortcode but when it pulls in the description it shows the html coding. It renders correctly in the full product listing using the[wp_eStore_fancy1 id=5]
shortcode. It also renders correctly if I just copy and paste the text with html from the description field onto my web page. I have an example page at [http://weavehouston.org/html-rendering/] enter password “help”. I have tried to show all my examples with results and a little rationale of what I am trying to do.April 16, 2013 at 11:52 pm #55159wpCommerceModeratorHi, can you please create a new page and embed the exact shortcode in it? That way we will be able to see what is happening.
April 17, 2013 at 12:15 am #55160LouCMemberThank you. I did embed the exact shortcode in the page. I show 3 examples on the page and example 2 uses the shortcode to just show the name and the description. Here is my html for that portion of the page.
<strong>2. HTML does not render: Using the product details shortcode</strong>
"wp_eStore_product_details id=5 info="description" (in brackets of course.)
<strong>[wp_eStore_product_details id=5 info="name"]</strong>
[wp_eStore_product_details id=5 info="description"]April 17, 2013 at 12:17 am #55161LouCMemberI can remove all the other elements on the page if you prefer.
April 17, 2013 at 12:22 am #55162LouCMemberThis page: [http://weavehouston.org/rendering-2] Use password “help”
All I have on it is
[wp_eStore_product_details id=5 info="name"]
[wp_eStore_product_details id=5 info="description"]April 17, 2013 at 2:55 am #55163adminKeymasterHi, Product info shortcode needed to be enhanced so it can do HTML output. I have made some tweak in the plugin to do this. I sent you an update via email.
April 17, 2013 at 1:58 pm #55164LouCMemberThank you so much. I will upload the update later this afternoon and check it out. One of the reasons I chose WPeStore was how responsive you are to issues. This is the first one I have had. Will report back later.
April 18, 2013 at 1:50 am #55165LouCMemberThank you again. Success! I uploaded the update and the html is rendering.
