eStore- How would client cancel subscription without Paypal account

I’m setting up some recurring payment Paypal buttons on a website. If a client were to set up a subscription but doesn’t use a Paypal account and just pays by credit card how would they cancel their account? I found a post from 4 years ago (https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/does-client-need-paypal#post-22109) that says the client would have to contact me to cancel and I would have to manually cancel it in Paypal or they could contact Paypal. Is this still the case or is there an easier way for people to cancel that don’t have a Paypal account? I’m using eStore v7.1.6 in case that matters.

Are you creating the recurring payment for membership (using with eMember plugin)?
