i have a product which needs more variations like color, type, and etc. i need to have 7 variations and eStore only have 3 variations and 1 digital variation. How am i gonna do this? Please help…

November 21, 2013 at 1:00 am #56292StarCircleAcademyMemberI’m trying to wrap my head ’round 7 variations. Closet I’ve come so far is: Socks: Argyle, blue, cotton, size 10, with logo. But that’s only 6 variations. Seems to me that could be broken down to:
Cotton-Blue-Argyle, size 10, with logo
Nylon-Black-striped, size 6, no logo,
etc. which means there really are only 3 variations.
But I notice I have a problem with variations in general. How do I *easily* tell what variations a customer has chosen? I’d like the Manage Customers, for example, to be able to select all customers who bought item 28 with “no logo”.
The variations are encoded in the name and the product name isn’t displayed in the Manage customers page. Have to drill down into the transaction where only the first 55 characters of the product are displayed.
In keeping with this example, is there a way to ask WP eStore: to list all customers who purchased Cotton-Blue-Argyle with a Logo?
I’m sure there is a better place to ask this question… but I read many articles and this was the last one of the bunch.
November 21, 2013 at 10:47 pm #56293adminKeymasterWhat is the application/usage of that?
December 10, 2013 at 2:20 pm #56294StarCircleAcademyMemberI don’t know what the application of the original number of variations was… that’s something the original poster requested.
BUT, I am trying to find a simple way to know how many customers of A product chose variation 1 vs variation 2, and trying to figure out easily *WHAT* was purchased.
E.g. in stats I’d like to know how many people opted to get the optional recording of my webinar vs those who didn’t.
In a similar vein, I’d like to be able to add people who purchase the optional recording to a separate autoresponder list.
August 28, 2020 at 10:41 pm #56295camisitioSpectatorOK so we can only have four variations. So, I am trying to add a brands variation but with an additional cost added according to the brand, as follows: Brand|Brand1|Brand2:4|Brand3:6. The problem I’ve encountered is that the cost variation is not getting calculated into the price. Oh, I also have a cost variation set in the size as follows; Size|Small|Medium|Large|XL|2X|3X:4|4X:5|5X:6
August 28, 2020 at 11:47 pm #56296wzpModeratorAre you coding the variations by hand, or are you using the WP eStore Advanced Variations UI Addon?

Hint: Using the addon is easier than coding the variations by hand
August 28, 2020 at 11:50 pm #56297adminKeymasterYour configuration looks fine so it should work fine.
The variation does need the JavaScript to be working correctly on your site. Since WP5.5 some plugins and themes have broken JavaScript (the ones that haven’t updated for WP5.5). So that could be playing into this. Can you please check the following to see if you have any javaScript errors on your site?

If you post the URL of the page where you have the product, I can inspect this also.
August 29, 2020 at 11:50 pm #56298camisitioSpectatorI am having trouble trying to download the plugin unfortunately for me, I used different emails for my purchases. The original email used for the purchase of the estore plugin is different from the one used to buy extended support, hence I have two accounts on this forum.
August 31, 2020 at 12:38 am #56299adminKeymasterPlease use the contact form on our site and submit all the info (in terms of which email was used to purchase what), we can then edit our record and put all your purchases under one email (the one you want to put it under). Then it will all connect correctly.
