Is it possible for me to make more than 3 variations. I sell embroidery good online, and need more than 3.
Color, size, location, font, thread color quick one I can think of.

This is explained on our variation documentation (check the limitations section):

What I did was add information into the “Product Specific Instructions For Buyer” for the product. I asked the customer to reply to the email with answers to the questions.
Remember to add the tag to the “Buyers Email Body”.
I know this isn’t the solution you wanted, but it works for me.

March 28, 2015 at 7:27 pm #36232ledjediMemberI would also like to see additional variation options. I’m working with custom built gemstone jewelry that I allow customers to customize to their taste. I’m already creatively using the variation options available, but i really need 2-3 more options.
This really shouldn’t be that big of a deal to add additional variations.

Unfortunately, it’s easier said than done…
- Code must be changed in several places.
- The product database must be restructured.
- The changes must be tested.
- All related addons and plugins must undergo the same steps.
Since jewelry is a highly personalized product, why not use custom input fields, to allow the buyer to specify certain customizations, especially if the customizations do not affect the price?

As my company has expanded I’ve needed to offer additional variation options to my customers. I’m out and need more.
Thanks,

A lot of things to ask to the customer… and only 3 variations, that’s really a bad point.
Thanks in advance!
