Hi – I’m having an issue with eStore with payment bundle charging both test and live transactions the membership price immediately, despite having a $0.00 free trial for 30 days. I’ve reviewed the forum (this post especially: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/estore-stripe-taking-money-immediately-despite-free-trial) and followed all instructions I can possibly find to alleviate this problem to no resolution, unfortunately. I created a fully new product, tested, issue still persists. I’m at a standstill, unfortunately.
The product is free for 30 days and then $20.00 per month. I really need to get this working ASAP as I have a client waiting on it patiently (for now).September 19, 2019 at 2:47 am #79947adminKeymaster
This is most likely related to the Stripe’s SCA related changes. Are you using the new Stripe SCA option in the plugin?September 19, 2019 at 4:28 pm #79948
Hi – Yes, I’m using the Stripe SCA option in the plugin and just tested again. I’m still, with a test cc, being charged again immediately rather than having the free trial and then being charged after 30 days.September 20, 2019 at 6:47 am #79949
@erickalynn, Do you have the debug option enabled in the payment gateway bundle settings? Please provide a link to the page in question so we can take a look.September 20, 2019 at 5:29 pm #79950
Hi – I’ve enabled debug option – the link to the page in question is here: fionamoore.com/awakening-circle/
Thanks!September 21, 2019 at 5:35 am #79951
Thank you. You are using our onsite Stripe subscription option (stripe_subsc). Please use the gateway for our Stripe checkout SCA method (stripe_co_sca_subsc):September 23, 2019 at 4:34 pm #79952
Hi – I set this up properly now and it works on the first test purchase, but on subsequent purchases, on a completely different machine across the country (I tested first, my client then went to test) the noted payment changes from “free trial for 30 days” to $20/month immediately. No changes are made in estore to the product, nor in Stripe. I swear this site is posessed. Any idea at all why the first purchase would work properly and subsequent purchases (different person all together making the purchase) wouldn’t with absolutely no changes being made to anything on the site? We’ve changed back over to PayPal on the page so we can launch this offering, but I’d really prefer the Stripe setup over PayPal. Thanks!September 25, 2019 at 5:04 am #79953
