Tagged: Error Message, estore, natural language
When a digital, downloadable product is added twice in the cart, an error message is generated in the cart window (under the list of items).
Instead of “This item is already in the cart”, the short code ESTORE_ITEM_ALREADY_EXISTS is displayed in clear.
Thanks in advance for your kind assistance.
Benoît
Hi,
This is strange behaviour indeed.
The “ESTORE_ITEM_ALREADY_EXISTS” which you are seeing is not a “shortcode” but instead it is a variable which is defined in the languages files and should have a value of “Item already exists in the cart” (for the English case).
Can you please share the link to your eStore page so we can try adding to the cart to see the error for ourselves?
You’re right I should have said variable.
You can test it at http://www.label-inconnu.com/e-shop/enregistrements/lucis-memoria.
Best wishes,
Benoît
Can you please try the following theme/plugin conflict tests to see if the theme or perhaps some other plugin might be causing this:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/test-to-identy-a-conflicting-theme-or-plugin
This is one of the side effects of all the custom hacks you have been applying to the plugin. Can you please look in your language file and verify that the there is a definition for the following language?
ESTORE_ITEM_ALREADY_EXISTS
Thanks for your prompt reply.
It is present in all language files.
Okay, we will need to go back to square one to see where the issue is (its hard for us to troubleshoot on a customized version of the plugin). Please do the following:
1) Take a backup of your customized eStore copy
2) Load a fresh build and let me know if you see this in the freshly loaded eStore version:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/re-install-or-load-a-fresh-build-of-the-plugins
– De-activated (customized) estore plugin
– Re-activated (customized) estore plugin
Now the text appear as expected, but only in English.
