estore discount for subscriptions how to do

I’m new to the forum, but have used e-store on a client site, so fairly familar with the plugin.

Here’s what I want to do, and YES, I do know there is an add on for subscriptions, not sure that will do what I need, thus the post.

The payment gateway will be Paypal.

I want to establish a price for designing a website, then charge a recurring fee for hosting.

Thus, for example

Price to design webiste $200

Discount for that $100

So at that point the customer would pay $100 for the service.

That’s easy, know how to do that.

But what I need to do is ADD the recurring price to that of $5.00 or “X” dollarse, but I do NOT want to discount the recurring fee, only the price for designing the website. Is that possilbe? If so how?

So, let’s say the design fee is $100 and the monthly hosting fee is $5…

Set the “Trial” payment for 1 month, at $105, and then $5 for each subsequent month.

Yes, I did think of that thanks… but I couldn’t get it to work with a discount coupon, giving the perceived value of saving money when applying the coupon.

I want the design fee to be $200 with recurring of $5.

then apply coupon for $100 discount, but the recurring remains $5.00, without being part of the discount.

The way you are thinking in terms of applying discount to the trial amount won’t work. The discount (via the subscription discount addon) is always applied to the main amount which is the recurring amount.

I can maybe do a custom job for you where I tweak that addon so on your site it applies the discount on the trial amount, instead of the recurring amount.

Thank you for the consideration Key Master, please advise what I’d need to do to make that happen.

And do realize the numbers I’m mentioning above are arbitray and may change, I wouldn’t want you to hard code those numbers,but I’m sure you realize that.
