Tagged: custom template
Is there documentation on creating a custom “add to cart template?” We have used “WP Simple Paypal Shopping cart” for several years and have been very pleased with the presentation but wanted the extra functionality of the eStore plugin. The trouble is we can’t find a product display that comes close to what we had in WP Simple Paypal Shopping cart. I would like to create a new “fancy” look that emulates the earlier style, one that will not break when I update the plugin. Our current “WP Simple Paypal Shopping cart” page can be seen here: squirrelsnutbutter.com/purchase/.
I feel I can modify the facny13 template to look like what I want. I have edited “eStore_extra_shortcode_css.css.” I don’t see a version number on this sylesheet. Is there a way I can prevent this from updating?
Any file that “lives” in a plugin directory, is “at risk” of being overwritten by the update process:

Part of this, is due to the way WordPress itself updates plugins.
Its best to insert your custom CSS using the “Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS” interface of your WordPress admin. That way, the update doesn’t affect anything.
If you want to modify the addon’s CSS file, you can keep a backup of it after you update the CSS file.
Thank you for your answers. I tried to modify my theme’s stylesheet but even using the “!important” flag I wasn’t able to customize the style. I will try making the changes from the Appearance page.
