eStore – connecting multiple websites

Hi

I have a few sites that I would like to have share the cart set up that is on my main site, I’ll call site #1. I have installed both the estore and the affiliate tracking plugin.

I would like sites 2 and 3 to have the same type of functionality as site one, with same products etc……. though I don’t want to duplicate the entire products/store set up on site one.

I read about a plugin in one of your responses, though I think it may not be that recent, that helps track sales from different sites and credit to affiliates.

Not sure if that plugin will solve this challenge. I don’t prefer to have a buyer on site 2 be taken over to site 1 to complete transaction. Prefer to have buy buttons on site 2, as well as an add to cart, and the shopping cart function without them haivng to leave site 2.

Also, like to offer affiliates the ability to have sales tracked from any of those sites and credited to them.

What is the best way to set this up?

Cart sharing between sites is not possible, because of the way carts work.

Ok. Is there a way to have buy buttons on sites 2 and 3 that bring buyer back to site 1 to buy? I would appreciate your help in finding a solution that requires me to set up only 1 store….. but be able to have buy buttons on multiple sites. Thanks!

ok. just want to be clear. the extra shortcodes link described in that referenced article should be installed on the main site [where the store is set up], on the 2secondary site, or both?

You install the extra shortcodes addon on the main site where eStore plugin is installed.

Then from your other site, you can create a link that lets the user buy the item via your main site.
