Hi, I am having an issue after a successful payment, that the user is returned to the site, but the cart has not emptied. The transactions are registered, all the emails have been sent out and everything is correct – except the cart has not emptied!
Double checked the PDT in paypal, which is correct, otherwise it wouldn’t complete the sale.
Below are logs from the debug.
Thanks
Ioan

April 13, 2013 at 10:09 pm #55115PeterMemberPDT is not working correctly on your site. Remember, you don’t need PDT for a sale to be successful (we use IPN for sale completion as it is more robust). The shopping cart sale will work fine even if PDT fails.
WP eStore didn’t even receive any PDT data from that transaction because when it receives PDT data, it logs the following text in the debug log file (this is not present in the debug data you shared):
eStore PayPal PDT received.
Please doublecheck that you have correctly enabled the transaction result display settings as per this link:

Also here’s another thread which appeared to have a somewhat similar issue as you:

Thanks for your response. I have checked the video and I have configured paypal as per video.
I also changed the method to not use PDT, and set the following options:
Auto return: Off
Block Non-encrypted Website Payment: Off
PayPal Account Optional: On
Return URL: Empty (You can customize this in the WP eStore’s settings page)
Payment Data Transfer (PDT): Off
Instant Payment Notification (IPN): On (you can enter any URL you like, eStore will override the value at checkout time)
However the item is still in the basket when I return! I can see that the IPN settings are taking effect, as the return to message is now showing on paypal.
I have also created a new paypal account, turned IPN on, and its still in the basket!
Dont know what to do next?
Thanks
Ioan
April 14, 2013 at 9:44 am #55117ioanevansSpectatorok I got it working finally. In the PDT box in eStore settings, I had to delete the PDT key, then it worked. Even tho PDT was off in paypal, having the code in the settings stopped it from working.
Cheers
Ioan
