Hi Guys,
is there a way to automaticly create an invoice-pdf which could be send via email or download-link to the customer? Here in germany it is not lawful to send an invoice written in an email.
Thanks for your work!
November 23, 2014 at 10:04 pm #66964wzpModeratorTo be legally clear; eStore issues receipts, not invoices. Receipts are acknowledgements of payment. Invoices are demands for payment.
Unless I am mistaken, the VAT Invoicing Requirements do not apply to receipts.

With that said, we do have a free eStore addon that creates downloadable PDF receipts:

May 12, 2015 at 10:08 am #66966KatiskaMemberIs there any hope to get a plugin for invoicing? Something similar woocommerce offers?
May 12, 2015 at 10:33 am #66967wzpModeratorAs per my earlier explanation; eStore produces receipts, not invoices.
An invoice is a DEMAND for payment, presented to a customer BEFORE goods or services, are delivered or rendered.
A receipt is an ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of (full or partial) payment, presented to a customer AFTER payment for goods or services, is received.
Ask any certified accountant; they will tell you that eStore produces receipts, not invoices. Hence, the VAT rules regarding PDF invoices do not apply to eStore.
Now then, the only way eStore can be subjected to the PDF invoice requirements, is if you were delivering goods or services to a customer BEFORE any payments are received.
May 12, 2015 at 3:00 pm #66968KatiskaMemberI do understand difference. So invoice-plugin will not come. That was all I did want to know. So, I need to find out other solution cos I need _invoices_. That is woocommerce then, even though eStore works better.
May 12, 2015 at 9:35 pm #66969wzpModeratorSo invoice-plugin will not come.
Because eStore is built on the premise that you will receive payment BEFORE delivery of any products or services.
The closest usage-case of eStore that even remotely approximates an invoicing situation is the use of Manual Checkout. In this instance, because it is possible to deliver a downloadable product before payment is (manually) collected; one can “make the stretch,” and claim that you are invoicing the customer. More info here:
In which case, you can also (manually) invoice your customers using your PayPal account:
