Hello. I was told to add me issue to this forum to help resolve my issue quickly. I am sure it is common and pretty simple.
I am having issues with the WP eStore and amazon integration. I have used other plug-ins (bizCart) which is very similar and I did not have the same problems.
The issue that I am facing is with the email download link. It looks like this: [http://blog.muscleappeal.com/wp-content/plugins/WP eStore/download.php?file=0hOa%2FC8HUPCTg63u]
There is a gap in the email which makes the link not clickable. When you copy and paste the link, it just brings you to a page on my site which does not exist.
I have watched and studied the tutorials for the eStore plug in but they don’t seem to be that helpful as the Amazon s3 store have changed, since your tutorial was made.
The problem appears to be coming from here: [http://blog.muscleappeal.com/wp-content/plugins] This is the generic url link for the encrypted link.
Hopefully you can help get my store working properly. I am sure it is just something simple I am overlooking, but I can’t figure out what.
Thanks
December 1, 2012 at 11:06 am #51917adminKeymasterHi, it looks like you downloaded the copy of the eStore plugin from an illegal source earlier so you are seeing some weird behavior. This post will explain what to do:
December 1, 2012 at 1:55 pm #51918themuscleappealMemberMy web developer has a multi site license and it was bought legally from this website.
December 1, 2012 at 11:22 pm #51919adminKeymasterHi, I know that you or your web developer purchased the plugin from us now but that copy of the plugin you had on your site is not a genuine one. It is likely that your developer did this earlier so you may not know about it. If you follow the link I shared in my earlier post you will be able to clean any infection or malware that other copy injected into your site.
December 2, 2012 at 4:59 pm #51920themuscleappealMemberI had contacted him, and he said this does not sound like what the issue is. The issue that I was having is that your tutorials are out dated as Amazon s3 has changed.
December 2, 2012 at 10:21 pm #51921PeterMemberHi,
I have checked Amazon S3 and the basic mechanics of setting up the bucket and files is the same. Yes there are very slight differences because Amazon has added one or two new things – for example when you first log in there is a new screen which lists all of the Amazon products. (All you need to do is click on the S3 link)
In my opinion 99% of the general setup is still exactly the same. Can you please specify precisely what you or your developer feel has changed in S3 which is dramatically different from the video and which is causing you confusion?
December 3, 2012 at 2:08 am #51922wzpModeratorIt is really critical that you delete and reinstall the plugin, per the instructions from @admin. We cannot discuss the reason why, over an open forum, but we sincerely believe ***that*** particular copy of the plugin came from an illegitimate source. You need to install a fresh copy from the link in step 6 of @admin’s instructions.
