I’m making a web shop for a friend. And everything is working fine until I hit the “check out with PayPal”-button. Then it adds extra shipping cost to the total prices.

All the products have a shipping cost of £ 0.001

I have Base shipping cost at £ 3.25

    I have shipping variations: Country|UK|Europe:1.75|Other:3.75

In the shopping cart everything looks perfect. But when I hit the “check out with PayPal”-button and are redirected to PayPal it ads £ 2.0 more to the shipping prices.

I properly have missed something, but I just can’t seem to find it. Any ideas?

You might be using paypal profile based shipping. Check your settings:

    Thanks.

But that box is not checked. It must be something else. I have been trying to figure it out for a week now. But I just can’t find it.

If the shipping price changes once you go to the PayPal payment page then it means that this merchant has configured PayPal profile based shipping so PayPal is overriding the shipping. Please check the profile based shipping of this merchant’s PayPal account. If the merchant doesn’t need profile based shipping then turn it off.

Alternatively, you can set in your PayPal profile to allow eStore to override the profile based shipping.

How to Allow Shipping Override in Your PayPal Profile

Here is a summary of how you can change your PayPal merchant account profile to allow profile based shipping override option:

Find the following option in your PayPal merchant profile and set it to “Yes”.

    —-

Use the shipping fee in the transaction instead of my claculator’s settings

Select whether the shipping rates can be overridden by individual transactions if the information is passed to PayPal with HTML variables in the transaction. Allowable values:

    Yes

    No

Thanks! I’ll look in to the settings in PayPal
