Tagged: 500 error checkout, 500 Server Error
We turned off ALL plugins but eStore and upon checkout (when clicking order complete for a free checkout to test here: [http://www.kitchenstewardship.com/ebooks-at-kitchen-stewardship/] the page goes blank with a 500 error in the background.
At the same time, we would not be able to go to the plugins page in the dashboard, for example, because of the same error.
We traced the issue to when it tries to save the eStore_custom_receipt_counter value in wp_options. Specifically, in eStore_config.php, saveConfig() function, the second call to update_option(). After that line is executed, we get a 500 error.
There are over 3000 total transactions in the store, if that makes any difference.
When we commented out the line above in the code, everything seems to be in working order. Please explain what might be happening and provide a permanent fix.
I was using WP 3.5 and updated to WP 3.5.1 during this mess, at which point the entire site fell over. The eStore plugin is version 6.9.1.4
Hi, Thank you for the details. Please try doing a fresh install of the WP eStore plugin:

It is likely whatever is causing the issue will get adjusted when you do the above.
