Hi There,
After a purchase and upon returning to the site i notice the cart still has the items i purchased in it. Is there a simple way to empty the cart?

December 4, 2009 at 12:37 am #16412amin007ParticipantThe cart should be automatically cleared when the customer returns to the site after payment unless something is going wrong in the verification process… Do you get the email from the plugin after purchase? Please post a link to the page where you are using it so I can check some stuff out.
December 4, 2009 at 12:03 pm #16413rugsunshineMemberYeah, the whole purchasing and email system is working fine. Here’s the site:
December 5, 2009 at 1:47 am #16414amin007ParticipantDo you have auto return (in your paypal profile) turned on? please note that when you turn on the auto return paypal won’t POST the payment data and it won’t trigger the post payment clean up.
By default the plugin is designed to work with the default paypal profile settings.
December 31, 2009 at 3:25 pm #16415egraellsMemberHi amin, I’m experiencing the same issue. I’m testing on sandbox, so I presume there is not auto return enabled.
What could be wrong? Tested it on IE(Windows XP) and Firefox (Mac).
January 1, 2010 at 1:48 am #16416amin007ParticipantSandbox profile can have “Auto Return” too. Do you have to click on a “Button” to get back to your site after a purchase or does it automatically redirects?
January 1, 2010 at 11:09 pm #16417egraellsMemberYes Amin, I’ve got that button.
January 1, 2010 at 11:22 pm #16418amin007ParticipantAlrighty… I will need to take a loot at it.. I will email you to see if we can arrange site access.
January 2, 2010 at 10:23 pm #16419KateMemberI was just coming to post this same question! If you get a solution, would you be able to share it? Thanks so much!
May 30, 2010 at 9:21 pm #16420vidarMemberHi! I am too experiencing this…
The emails show up, but cart is not empty on return.
I just turned off the auto return in my paypal profile, but it did not change anything…
Are there any other things i should look into?
(I also ran a transaction with debug enabled. Seems like evertything got “Success!”)

May 30, 2010 at 11:40 pm #16421IvyMemberHi Vidar, Are you by chance using a caching plugin? Can you email me the debug file so I can take a look? Also do you have a test product that you can send a link to? What version of the plugin are you using?
Cheers,
Ivy
May 31, 2010 at 7:36 pm #16422vidarMemberHi Ivy!
I am not using a caching plugin.
I can email you the debug file, but i cant find your email address…? What email address do i use?
When you say test product, is that a webpage with a add to cart button? I can create one for you if that is what you mean…
And the version of the plugin is 3.4.1
Thanks!

May 31, 2010 at 11:13 pm #16423IvyMemberHi Vidar, I sent you an email with our email address. If you could create a .01 test product for me that would be great. You can send the link to the product in the email that I sent you also.
Cheers,
Ivy
