We have a free membership set up and have selected to manually approve all accounts. E-member is sending the registration complete email as soon as they complete the registration but their account is still inactive because it has not been manually approved. Once we manually approve it they do not appear to get any notification so they have no way of knowing that they can now log in. Is there any way to notify people that their account is now active?
May 24, 2013 at 12:48 am #55824wpCommerceModeratorHi, You need to configure it for the manual approval. Please check this post:

1)Is there a way to change what the default message is on the “Send Notification to user” email? I’m guessing there is someplace in the code that we can change it. Also, I’m concerned that our changes would will get overwritten every time we upgrade the plugin.
2) For a future version it might be nice to have the notification email on the main email settings page so it could be edited with the other emails. It would also be nice to be able to set the email to go out automatically without having to check a box each time so that the client doesn’t have to remember. Also, would love to be able to mark a client account as active right from the dashboard without having to go into the edit screen. It would be a little less confusing for our clients who aren’t very tech savvy.

May 24, 2013 at 11:49 pm #55827adminKeymasterYes, the send notification email will save the last email you sent. So once you configure it, the message will stay there.
May 24, 2013 at 11:52 pm #55828wpCommerceModeratorHi, Thanks for your feedback. You can customize the message to whatever you would like. Once you click the save button your customized message will be saved.
When you re-install the plugin you do not lose any settings data, products data, members data, affiliates data etc. So don’t be afraid to delete the plugin and install a new copy of it (you can always keep a backup copy in your computer somewhere if you like).
As for the manual approval some users prefer to send an email and some don’t. That’s why we decided to keep it in a separate option.
August 1, 2013 at 9:42 am #55829fahdiMemberHi,
Sorry to open old questions.
Is there any way, I send email notification, after manual approval without setting the whole user registration to be manually approved?
I have a case that I received payment using bank transfer (not paypal), in this case, after I received the payment, I want to update the subscription to a certain level, and send the user, that I received the payment.
Any suggetions?
Thanks
August 1, 2013 at 10:24 pm #55830adminKeymasterYes you can do that. When you are editing a member’s record to do the manual approval, use the “Send a Notification to the User” field to send an email to that member too.

thanks for the great support
April 24, 2015 at 1:39 pm #55832mplineMemberI’m also having an issue with the emails not going out and I did click on the button to approve member. Now when I signed up the test account it did get the login information, but the email was put into spam…either way that was the only email that worked.
April 25, 2015 at 12:24 am #55833adminKeymasterYou have an email delivery issue on your site. This is not an issue in the plugin. Go through the following post and it will be helpful for you:
