    Hi support

    From time to time users/subscribers will change their email address (it is a common occurance)

    How does a user/subscriber update/change their email address when they are in their ‘My Profile’ page?

    It should be an editable field. Do you have this box checked?

    eMember –> Settings –> Pages/Forms Settings –> Show email field on edit profile page

    Yes I do … but I’m using the Form Builder ‘addon’.

    Hi, your members can always go to the “edit profile” page and edit their info (including the email address). It works the same way for both normal and form builder addon.

    Have you created an edit profile page yet?

    Hi,

    I’m having an issue with the Email field not updating. I have the “Show email field on edit profile page” ticked but when you submit and go back to it, it doesn’t change.

    I have recurring subscriptions set, is this the reason why it won’t change?

    Is there a way around this to be able to update the email address?

    Are you using the form builder addon? Are you using a hosting provider who is doing caching on their end?

    The “hosting provider” is the company or person(s) that is providing the server on which you installed the plugin.

    Hi just wondering if this was resolved as I also have the same issue. To workaround it, I’ve made the email field read-only so people will have to notify the admin to update their emails.

    I would love to be able to have the email update working again. Thanks.

    There is no issue with the member updating his/her email address from the profile page. Do you get an error on your site?

    I am also having this issue – edit profile -> amend the email address -> on refresh it hasn’t updated on the edit profile page nor in the manage members admin section.

    There are no error messages. I don’t believe it is a cache issue.

    The debug file doesn’t give any clues as it includes the correct updated email address:

    Code:
    [05/20/2018 7:21 AM] – SUCCESS :Form builder – member profile updated. Member ID: 2, Email: xxxx

    If I amend in the manage members admin section it saves ok. No other fields on the edit profile page are affected.

    eMember v10.0.8, WP 4.9.6

    This issue usually happens on servers that use database caching. Is your hosting provider using database caching?

    There’s no database caching – plus all other fields update, just not email.

    I have creation of a linked WP user turned on too.

    I’ve disabled all other plugins but still no joy.
