I have a client that purchased the eStore, eMember, and Affiliate plugins and is wanting to use them. She’s running WP 3.0.5 and the iThemes Builder theme with a Child theme.
The problem started when she begin creating products and trying to put the shortcodes in. They didn’t work so she got the Extra Shortcodes plugin and installed it. The shortcodes worked then, but she decided she didn’t like the extra shortcode plugin and disabled it. After that none of the shortcodes worked anymore.
We’re also having the same problem with the eMember plugin, the shortcodes aren’t working there either.
The site is [http://www.navacoaches.com] and you want the [www.navacoaches.com/register-here/] page to see the eMember shortcode displayed on the page and not the actual registration form.
We’ve deactivated the Extra Shortcodes plugin again because the registration form shortcode for eMember wasn’t working and is still not working after deactivating the Extra Shortcodes plugin
February 11, 2011 at 11:19 pm #28943IvyMemberHi,
1. The extra shortcodes plugin only applies to the extra shortcodes for eStore. This plugin needs to be active for the shortcodes that go with this plugin to work.
2. Can you do the theme test here and see if the shortcodes work:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/test-to-identy-a-conflicting-theme-or-plugin
Make sure if you are using the shortcodes from the extra shortcodes plugin that you have this plugin active when doing this test.
September 20, 2012 at 11:14 pm #28944ByTheByteMemberFor some reason when I create a page on my wordpress 3.4.2 running theme Twenty Eleven v1.4 I can’t get the short codes to work with the emember plugin. I can protect the page for that user but that’s about it. Otherwise it just shows in the post as [short code]
So odd. Please help
September 21, 2012 at 7:37 am #28945adminKeymasterThe first thing you should try is load a fresh copy of the eMember plugin:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/re-install-or-load-a-fresh-build-of-the-plugins
If the shortcodes still doesn’t work then make sure to check for typo in the shortcode. If you post a link to page in question I can check it too.
The only other reason would be a plugin is breaking your WordPress shortcode functionality. The plugin test mentioned here will help you identify this plugin:

September 21, 2012 at 3:03 pm #28946ByTheByteMemberI’ve done the theme test with no considerable errors. If you would like to see the page where the short codes are:
User: halorotts
PW: summer02
Once you log in using this account it will auto redirect you to the page in question.
I have re-installed both WP and eMember from new thinking it may be an install error. But nonetheless I have the same problem. I can give you the admin user and password but I won’t post that here. Email me at info[at]bythebyte.ca if you would like to log in that way.
September 21, 2012 at 11:48 pm #28947adminKeymasterIt definitely won’t be a theme issue since you are using the twenty eleven theme. If anything, it will be another plugin breaking the shortcode functionality. Did you do the plugin test as I requested you to do in the previous post?
You completely deleted the existing eMember plugin and then uploaded the new one right?
Can you place the following shortcode on that page and see if it works?
[wp_eMember_user_details user_info="first_name"]
Can you post a link to your Registration page?
September 23, 2012 at 2:05 pm #28948ByTheByteMemberOKay I did as was requested and found no problems. As the wp site is only used for registered members that I create it runs no other plugins. What I have noticed is the short codes work on their own but when I put in [emember_protected member_id=1] and its ending [emember_protected] anything inbetween it fails to work. Without these shortcodes the other shortcodes work. So strange.
September 24, 2012 at 2:42 am #28949adminKeymasterOh I see… you are using a shortcode inside another shortcode. See this post that should help:
