I’ve had a few customers who have paid twice for the same product (I have eMember and eStore combined – and its an on-line course they are buying). Is there any way to either prevent this happening – or at least flag up to them (or me, the admin) that they already have bought this product? The only way I can see to check this is manually – but looking at my Paypal statement. Any ideas gratefully received. Thanks.
It is a little odd for a customer to go and buy the same product twice. Isn’t this something your customer should handle on their end? For example, if you went to amazon and you are buying one product that you purchased earlier, amazon is not going to say anything to you.
Maybe, you can show the purchase history of the users/members so a user can look up what he/she purchased in the past. That way they will know what they purchased already. Here is the documentation for showing purchase history:
