Hi,
We have a problem with logout functions. Clicking on the logout links takes you out to the home page as expected. But if you then click on the Login again, or a direct link to one of our member protected pages, it lets you right back in again (or in the case of the login link, to the page saying member name etc).
The problem occurs only when the ‘Remember Me’ option is selected during login.
As far as I can tell this seems to be related to the e_m_bazooka cookie. Like it doesn’t get cleared maybe.
Can you advise at all? We are using the wp_eMember1.php system (You mentioned once before that it was important we tell you that).
Thanks for your help.

July 15, 2011 at 5:32 am #33897HBin123MemberHi Amin,
We have installed the latest eMember version now and it didnt help on this logout problem.
Example:
I signed up for an account and everything goes smootly, I can access everything the membership level should have access too. I log out from the account using the eMember logout option. This takes me back to the Home page as if it has logged me out. But when I click on “login” again it still show me as logged in.
I try to clear my cookies and cache in my browser to see if maybe a “bad” cookie or something is atill in my browser, Then I go back to our site and it still shows me as logged in. I even try to restart my computer without it helping
Only thing that is logging me out is if I clear cache from the W3TC.
We have added the
ap_id
cart_in_use
e_m_bazooka
eMember_in_use
to the Page Cache section under “Rejected cookies”.
We are also using the Opcode as you have suggested in some posts here.
Any suggestions on how we can get this “logout” issue fixed?
Thanx Amin
Best Regards
Monica

We did find one solution that seems to fix this and that is to disable the DataBase
Cache in the W3TC, Now with this disabled we can log out from eMember.August 4, 2011 at 4:03 pm #33900brenarloMemberHow do you disable the W3TC?
August 5, 2011 at 2:05 am #33901amin007ParticipantApril 30, 2013 at 8:00 pm #33902mische7MemberHey, I’m having the same issue. eMember version is 8.5.7 and I’m up to date on WP.
In my top nav I have a link to logout with the following URL: [http://www.bluedotrobot.com/ws/?event=logout]
It works in terms of looking as if the person has logged out and they’re redirected to [http://www.bluedotrobot.com/store] which is the retail site. However, if you simply hit the back button or type in a direct URL to the /ws directly, it hasn’t actually logged the user out.
Can you tell me how to fix this?
Thanks!
May 1, 2013 at 1:39 am #33903adminKeymasterPlease create a temporary member account and share the account detail so I can log into the site as a member and then log out to observe the behavior on this site.
May 3, 2013 at 2:36 am #33904mische7MemberHi there. so sorry, I somehow missed your post. please log in using the name ‘test’ and password ‘test’. That should work for you.
thanks for your help!
May 3, 2013 at 4:34 am #33905adminKeymasterThank you. When I go to your site it keeps giving me the following error:
The page isn't redirecting properly
I have a feeling that your server maybe going through some issues. Please let me know when you have it sorted so I can check your site.
May 3, 2013 at 5:01 pm #33906mische7Memberthis is really interesting and may bring up another question as well. First, are you able to see the page at all or is it just taking forever to get there? Second, if you go to [https://www.bluedotrobot.com/ws] does that make all the difference?
I’m really new to the SSL thing and just got the site set so everything points to the https pages. Everything except how a person enters the site. Are there any specials things I need to do to make sure folks are locked out whether they’ve come via http or https?
Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.
May 4, 2013 at 1:02 am #33907adminKeymasterDoesn’t make any difference for me. When I go to that URL (with or without the trailing slash) it loads for a while then shows the following message:
Google Chrome - This webpage has a redirect loop
Firefox - The page isn't redirecting properlyYou should get your hosting provider to check this and make sure the SSL certificate is installed correctly and the URLs are working.
