My content protection is working OK, but when trying to make a teaser content using more tag it is protecting everything with no teaser showing. What could be possible reasons? Thank you.

November 11, 2012 at 5:29 am #51068chinikMemberWhen trying to protect some content on a page by using ‘more tag’ option it actually does not work. It is like no more tag is set, so it hides everything instead of whatever is below more tag. I am protecting my page and granting access to it to the paid members only but want to leave some teaser above ‘more tag’. So the teaser is not showing. What additional info do you need to help with this?
November 12, 2012 at 3:53 am #51069adminKeymasterThank you for mentioning that you were using “more tags” in wordpress pages.
WordPress doesn’t support more tag in page. WordPress intended more tag to be only used in blog posts. More details on it here:

April 17, 2015 at 2:22 pm #51070tutinomMember1) I have a page that is not protected.
2) I am using category protection.
3) I am using more tag protection on posts
4) I am pulling in 2 blog feeds onto the page, one the logged in user has access to (Main area) and a sidebar blog feed that the user does not have access to. These are being pulled in based on category.
A) if I remove the side bar feed the page main feed works as it should.
if the sidebar feed is put in place the whole page is locked out
C) if I remove all protection feed are displayed
What I am trying to accomplish is content (posts) intended for the logged in user is set to main area and defined by category feed. The sidebar I want to present teaser content. I know I can use the partial protection short code but was looking for an easier way to accomplish this.
April 18, 2015 at 1:11 am #51071adminKeymasterHow are you pulling this sidebar post content? Is is coming thru the proper WordPress post content and the loop?
Our plugin uses filter to hook into the content. So the content needs to come via the standard WordPress’s content filter so our plugin can hook in there correctly.
