Hi there, I’ve recently integrated wp eMember with wp eStore. My problem right now is that some customers has chosen the Manual Checkout which we provide and upon confirmation of their payment, I couldn’t find their member record in eMember. This is what I’ve done in the settings so far:

    – Automatically Update Customer & Products Database

    – Create Membership Account (WP eMember Plugin)

I’ve been reading thru the forum but couldn’t find much answers. How should I go about in doing this? What I want is that a member record is created when someone pays using manual checkout BUT I want it deactivated and only activated manually when the payment is received or confirmed by us.

Please let me know how I can do this. Thank you guys!

There are few different ways you can handle a manual checkout. This post has more details:

In summary, I would probably do the following:

To achieve what you want should be relatively straightforward.

    1) Create the membership level(s) you want to offer your customers in eMember

    2) Set the “Manually Approve Member Registration” checkbox in the eMember settings page. This will allow you to wait and confirm payment before membership is granted.

    3) Ensure that you have correctly integrated your eStore product with the eMember membership level ID as per:

    http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/wp-emember-and-wp-estore-integration-for-membership-payment-60

    4) as already mentioned, enable the “Automatically Update Customer & Products Database” checkbox which can be found in the eStore Settings->General Payment Gateway Settings in the “Manual Offline Checkout Settings”.

Some more useful info you may need can generally be found in our documentation pages:

With the order management (manual checkout #3 method), does it update everything automatically once the status is set to paid?

Got it fixed, I had to redownload the addon and post it back up. One more question: Do I need to check this: “Manually Approve Member Registration”? If I have this check and use the order management will it conflict?

Guys, sorry let me consolidate everything into one post:

I now have chosen Manual Checkout #3 method (order management plugin):

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

    1. Setup as required and added the proper settings.

    2. Do I still need to turn on “Manually Approve Member Registration”?

    3. Will the usernames appear or do I still need to send the registration complete (via admin functions)?

    4. What other steps do I need to do to make sure that paid members have active status?

    2. If you are using checkout #3 then you are already making sure that you have received the money before you mark that transaction. So I would say you don’t need to use the “Manually Approve Member Registration” option in eMember anymore.

    3. When you mark the order as paid, eMember will send the registration completion link (it will work as if someone just paid you via PayPal right that moment).

    4. You don’t need to do anything.
