In integrating mailchimp, I have setup Paypal IPN for mailchimp and am using the mailchimp subscription through Mailchimp API for different emember levels. This problem happens regardless if I use IPN with mailchimp.
The user can get subscribed to newsletter 1 when they join.
If they buy an upgrade in emember (through estore), then they get on newsletter 2.
If I manually upgrade the user using admin, they don’t get put on the newsletter 2. Is there a way to fix this or is this the way it was designed?
Another thing is that I don’t see the autoresponder email after a manual upgrade.
This is by design. The manual member profile update doesn’t trigger any autoresponder related actions.
If I use the paypal button and upgrade a user, it also doesn’t look like the autoresponder works also. Is this by design.
You mean after the payment? We have made a change in the plugin so it will handle this new level’s autoresponder signup after payment.
