Tagged: Cancel membership, cancel subscription, PayPal
Sorry for such a simple question but I’ve searched and can’t find an answer anywhere.
1. The client has asked me to cancel their monthly membership. Client pays monthly through PayPal.
2. So can I CANCEL the client’s subscription and stop payments from PayPal as she requests, or does the client have to CANCEL the PayPal subscription and monthly $10 payment?
3. If the client MUST cancel the subscription themselves through their PayPal account, is there an easy way to explain it to them, how they must do it?
Thanks so much!

Customers can cancel their own subscriptions, by logging into PayPal:

If you have set up a recurring payment, a subscription, or automatic billing with a merchant, you can cancel your pending payments:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click the Business Profile icon next to “Log Out” and select Profile and settings.
- Click My money.
- Click Update in the “My preapproved payments” section.
- Click Cancel, Cancel automatic billing or Cancel subscription and follow the instructions.
You can log into your PayPal account and cancel the subscription also. The plugin will automatically deactivate the account when the subscription is cancelled.
