Hello Support,
picking up only the name works great in english but not as good in german as it (like French) a more formal language. Is there a way to use gender in the email replies and on this on the douple-optin in so we can properly write a confirm email with a shortcode {gender}. Also throughout the communication in emails it would be nice to have a simple if/else construct in the emai templates.
Something like this:
Sehr geehrte{genderValue=male?”r”:””} {gender} {Surname}
Would result in something like this:
(male) Sehr geehrter Herr Ziebell
(female) Sehr geehrte Frau Ziebell
Heer and Frau are taken from my ger.php!
Regards
PS: An even simpler but not as powerfull solution would be to add 3 new shortcode {greeting_male}, {greeting_female}, {greeting_genderless}. These shortcodes render depending on gender full sentence.
(male) ‘Sehr geehrter Herr ‘
(female) ‘Sehr geehrte Frau’
We have added additional email tags so you will now be able to use the “{gender}” email tag to place the gender information of the member in the email.
More details on other tags that was added can be found here:
