I have an accordion slider javascript that runs on my site. As soon as I enable the eMember plug-in, the accordion slider stops working.
Where do I need to start looking to unravel the interference?
This is the current version of eMember. Accordionza comes from here: [http://codecanyon.net/item/accordionza-jquery-plugin/101685] and is version 1.1.

Are there any particular error messages?
November 26, 2012 at 12:27 am #51783PeterMemberThis is most probably a javascript/jquery problem caused by the accordion slider or some other plugin.
Send us a link to your page with the broken slider and we can take a look to see if we can identify which script is causing the issue.
November 26, 2012 at 12:29 am #51784Bob RockefellerMemberMore info.
Google Chrome reports this error when eMember plug-in is enabled and no such error when it is disabled:
Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method ‘overlay’
(anonymous function)
o
p.fireWith
e.extend.ready
c.addEventListener.B
That error appears to be coming from JQuery v1.7.2.

November 26, 2012 at 12:31 am #51785Bob RockefellerMemberThe site is currently on an internal development server and not assessable to the public. If there’s not another way to find the problem, I can create a new test site elsewhere.

(Note that we do not support installations on internal servers due their inaccessible nature and non-standard setup.
If you are able to install your site on a host which we can access then we can take a look at it)
It is not necessarily the case that just because you see the error when eMember is activated that the issue is caused by eMember. In many instances the activation of eMember (or other Tips and Tricks plugins) can uncover problems in the code of other plugins due to their incorrect coding practices.
November 26, 2012 at 2:05 pm #51788Bob RockefellerMemberOK, I have a test site up at:
test.robertrockefeller.com
where you can see the error. It looks like it comes from jQuery because $forgot_pass_overlay has no .overlay method.

November 27, 2012 at 12:07 am #51789adminKeymasterDid you try reloading eMember?

November 27, 2012 at 2:56 am #51790Bob RockefellerMemberNovember 27, 2012 at 6:41 am #51791adminKeymasterPlease try the following:
1) Go to the Pages/forms settings menu of eMember
2) Enter a value in the “Password Reset Page” field (the help text of this field will tell you want to do for this)
3) Now refresh yoru site and check it out.
November 27, 2012 at 10:26 am #51792Bob RockefellerMemberOK! That fixed it.
Why?
Do I need a password reset page on every site?
Bob
November 28, 2012 at 12:13 am #51793adminKeymasterNormally the password reset is done via a popup using JQuery. That code seems to be conflicting with your other script so I gave you the alternative solution for the password reset functionality.
