eMember – CCBILL Subscription not cancelling/expiring user

Hello,

I just started using eStore+eMember+Premium Gateway Bundle for a new basic membership site I’m working on that uses ccbill subscriptions for payment.

I followed all the instructions on: https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-payment-gateway-bundle-ccbill-setup-1891 and set up using Member Registration Scenario 2, with users signing up for a free account and then get automatically logged in as free members and then shown the ccbill subscription buttons to upgrade membership.

I did several live transactions with a live ccbill account and real credit card, and the user accounts got upgraded successfully from free to premium members as expected when ccbill payment was made, so that’s working great.

But what is not working is when a user cancels, nothing seems to happen in the emember site. The member still show Expiry Date “until cancelled” and account “active”.

I’ve tested by cancelling two different ways:

1. by logging in to my ccbill account as admin and doing a “void” on the transaction, which should make the user expire immediately.

2. logging in to https://support.ccbill.com and cancelling my subscription as the user, which should make it expire 2 days from now because the subscription is a 2 day free trial.

Could you please let me know what to double check for why the member expiration is not updating when cancelled at ccbill?

This is my first time using the ccbill “webhooks”, so not sure if there’s anything special to do with that, I just put the URL for the main WordPress install is what your documentation showed.

Hi, Do you have the debug logging option enabled in WP eStore, WP eMember and gateway bundle? If you don’t, can you please enable it then do a cancellation test. Then I will be able to check your log files and see if our plugin is receiving the notification from CCBill and executing the cancellation sequence.

Here’s what I believe are the pertinent logs. I redacted the specific account numbers and emails. Let me know if you need anything else.

The gateway one was quite long, but I see there’s the cancellation information in there at the end, but do not see any reference about the cancellation in the eMember or eStore logs.

So from what I can see, the site did receive the cancellation in the gateway plugin, but seems like it didn’t pass that info along to eStore/eMember?

This is the logs for the process of registering as a new free user at 6:36AM on logs, and then paying for a trial at 6:38AM.

And then at 6:41AM, cancelling as the user on [https://support.ccbill.com]

I was trying to troubleshoot with ccbill to see if they could figure out anything but I’m still having the same issue. The only thing they noted is the screenshot for Webhooks in your ccbill setup instructions looks slightly different than the webhooks page in ccbill currently, they have “versions” now, not sure if that would affect anything, [https://kb.ccbill.com/Webhooks+User+Guide]

I ran a new test and here is the wp_pg_debug.log from the Payment Gateway Settings in it’s entirety. But to answer your question above about it looking incomplete, no, the “SUCCESS :event type: Cancellation” is the last line in the log.
