eMember – calling deprecated jquery function?

I am experiencing problems with eMember.

When eMember is active, I get an error message in Firebug saying:

TypeError: a.browser is undefined[Learn More]  jquery.tools18.min.js:281:112

succesvolinbalans.nl/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/js/jquery.tools18.min.js:281:112

succesvolinbalans.nl/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/js/jquery.tools18.min.js:278:2

When I disable eMember, I don’t get the error message which, at least to my untrained eyes, suggests that it is indeed eMember that causes this.

I have added the migrate script in the header but surely this cannot be a permanent solution?

You might have multiple (conflicting) copies of the JQuery library installed.

What other plugins and themes have you installed?
