Hi, Right now I am using emember and I’m able to block forum replies – if I do it manually.
Here for example, I’ve blocked the replies and you can see it’s working: [http://lab.searchhighway.ca/forums/topic/googles-201st-factor-on-inner-pages/]
However, I created a test user (ajay002) and posted a reply and it was not blocked. Is there a way to automatically block all forum replies unless someone is logged in?
Right now I have to do this manually.
Thanks,

August 30, 2014 at 3:07 am #65214hin1219MemberHi,
We are using the bbpress plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/bbpress/) – I’m assuming that’s the one you’re referring to.
We are not using any of the 3 options – instead we are just trying to block the replies within a topic (people can see the topic but not the replies).
We’ve successfully done this so far by manually selecting the replies [http://screencast.com/t/7UgLfrR2g8], however we’d like this to be automatic.
Hope that makes more sense,
Thanks,

- Apply membership protection at the topic reply level?
- Require a particular membership level, in order to read past the first message in a given topic?
Does the first message have to be in the form of a forum post? In other words, can the first post be in the form of a regular WordPress posting, and then you would use the “bbPress Topics for Posts” plugin; for the post replies?
August 30, 2014 at 5:03 pm #65216hin1219MemberHi wzp,
What you described is correct. It would be ideal to keep it in the form of a forum post because we would like to use this to create a community
Thanks for the suggestion however,

The functions from this page maybe helpful for accomplishing this:
