Hi,
I have added the following shortcodes to the email that comes to me after someone makes a purchase.
{first_name} – First name of the buyer
{last_name} – Last name of the buyer
I have also added
{shipping_info} – Buyer’s shipping address
The problem I’m having is that sometimes the items are purchased as gifts and the gift recipient’s name doesn’t come through on the “shipping info”. Only the buyer’s name is on the receipt with the gift recipient’s shipping address. Is there a shortcode for also adding the “ship to’s name?”
Thanks
April 5, 2013 at 11:02 pm #54840adminKeymasterThe plugin gets the shipping info from PayPal’s transaction data (the buyer enters the shipping info on the PayPal site). So whatever the buyer enters on the PayPal site during the checkout is used in the {shipping_info} email tag. It does include the “Recipient’s Name” too (if one is entered). So given that your customer entered the Gift address with the name, it should be there. What version of eStore plugin are you using?
April 8, 2013 at 4:48 pm #54841mhagenowMemberI don’t have paypal as an option for payment. Only authorize.net. When the buyer checks out, they enter in the billing name/address as well as the shipping name/address. I use the codes I mentioned above, and the shipping name doesn’t come through with the shipping address, so I was wondering if there was another short code for that or if one could be made possibly. I use version v6.9.7.4 which I think is the latest.
April 9, 2013 at 4:15 am #54842adminKeymasterThank you for the details. I hae made small modification to the plugin to include the name in the {shipping_info} email tag for authorize.net checkout. I have sent you an update in your email.
December 30, 2015 at 12:13 am #54843microtuneMemberHello,
I have the same exact problem as above, but with the Stripe payment gateway. When I use the {shipping_info} tag, it does not show the shipping name.
Could you please help me with this?
Thank you!
December 30, 2015 at 11:47 pm #54844wpCommerceModerator@microtune, I just did a test purchase using Stripe. The tag seems to be working fine for me. Please install a fresh copy of the plugins (both eStore and payment gateway bundle) and see how it goes:
Also, edit your email body in “text” view to make sure there is not hidden HTML tags or characters around that shortcode.

I would like to clarify my issue. The {shipping_info} tag does work in the sense that it displays the shipping address. However, it does not show the shipping NAME. My problem is that when the billing NAME and the shipping NAME are different, only the billing NAME is available in the form of the {first_name} and {last_name} tags.
I need to receive both the billing and shipping NAMES for my records. Ideally, I would like the shipping first name and shipping last name to be part of the {shipping_info} tag.

Could this be done for Stripe, as well?
Thank you again!
January 1, 2016 at 1:12 am #54846wpCommerceModerator@microtune, This feature has been added. I have sent you a copy of the addon via email. Let me know if you don’t receive it.
January 2, 2016 at 4:15 am #54847microtuneMemberI installed the file and it works great. Thank you for your help!
April 22, 2016 at 11:51 pm #54848RobertParticipantI’m looking for a way to get the shipping address using the Stripe gateway addon. I read this thread and was wondering if this has been added lately or if I’m missing something?
If it’s not available, could it be added to say the Stripe Collect Details form…maybe with a copy billing address or something?
April 23, 2016 at 1:48 am #54849wpCommerceModerator@Robert,
{shipping_info}
is an email merge tag (so it can only be used in the sale notification email). It has nothing to do with the collect details form.You can update your payment gateway bundle addon to get the first name and last name included in the
{shipping_info}
tag.https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/re-install-or-load-a-fresh-build-of-the-plugins
April 23, 2016 at 3:47 am #54850wpCommerceModeratorDo you have the “Downloadable” checkbox enabled for that product? If so please disable it. Shipping block won’t appear if there is at least one digital item in the shopping cart.
April 23, 2016 at 4:01 am #54851RobertParticipantThat was it, thank you very much.
