Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP eMember › Email Renewal Form Does Not Pick Up First Name And Last Name
I have about 30 members that I have had to create their accounts manually. I have added first names and last names manually.
When they are sent reminder notices to renew it does not contain their first and last name. It looks like below;
Dear {first_name} {last_name},
Your Membership will expire in 5 days. Please renew today.
This does not seem to happen for users who I have not had to manually create their accounts through the ADD MEMBER interface.
Thanks.
e-member V 8.2.4 and WP 3.4.2
It would be very simple for you to add something like the following line on each applicable Email setting box:
PERSONALIZATION IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS TYPE OF EMAIL
I’m using v8.5.7, which is long after this discussion, and it’s still not obvious that only some emails can use the shortcodes for things like first_name and last_name.
I have added a message in the help text area of those email fields to make it more clear.
Thank you for your suggestion.
