The estore plugin is not passing on the emails of the buyers to my specified mail chimp list. the box in the plugin for Mail chimp integration is enabled. My API key is also enabled and both the dubble opt in and the send welcome email boxes are unchecked to avoid abuse. What am I missing here? Please help.
July 2, 2014 at 12:11 am #64054adminKeymasterDo steps 1-4 from the following page:
Then share the URL of the page in question so I can do a test and check a few things.
July 6, 2014 at 4:24 am #64055NevilleSpectatorI’m sorry that I am only now responding to your reply. I had some trouble finding my post as I’m still trying to figure out how to navigate this website with my screen reader. I also was waiting to hear from you but I realized that I didn’t sign up to receive the RSS feed from this post. I will do what you have suggested and get back to you.
However, now I have a new problem as of Thursday July 3. the incripted links are terminating before the download completes or there is an error message. Here is the error message.
“The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request.”
My download files are all hosted on my website. I’m not sure what to do. Please.
July 6, 2014 at 11:12 pm #64056adminKeymasterPlease go through the following checklist for your download issue:

Let me know how you go after that.
July 7, 2014 at 2:35 am #64057nevillepeter777MemberI have done the first four steps on the page you posted. You asked me to share the URL of the test page I created, so here it is. I hope I’m following your instructions correctly. Insidentally, when I tested the download link from the email I had no problems, but I don’t know if the email i used was subscribed to the mail chimp list.
Just so you know I am not trying to set up a squeezze page. I just want each purchaser to be signed up to a specified mail chimp list after the purchase is complete or at some point during the process.
July 7, 2014 at 2:42 am #64058NevilleSpectatorSorry here is the URL for the test page I created.

I’m off to read the other page you posted. thanks.
July 7, 2014 at 3:54 am #64059NevilleSpectatorHi,
For 1 through 3 in the check list I’m good.
I’m not sure how to carry out 4 as I didn’t see any instructions on how to delete those files and where to find them.
I haven’t checked out 5 yet as I wanted to make sure I respond in a timely manner.
6 doesn’t apply to me since I don’t think these files are very large. I think my largest file is about 60 Megs.
I’m not sure about 7 because I don’t know if I have a caching plugin on my website. the developer built it and then left me to run it. I guess I can ask him.
I’m very sure that I’m good with 8.
9 doesn’t apply as I’ve never updated WP ester, it was just installed on my website about a month ago.
Now I have a question about 10.
there are capital letters in the file names for the files on my server and also in the URL generated links. should I change the letters in caps to lowercase letters for the files on the server? Would doing this mean that I have to make changes to the names of the items in the store and how would the URL for each file be altered? I don’t have any problems downloading when typing in the URL of the files. the problems begin when the encryption is applied.
July 7, 2014 at 10:50 pm #64060adminKeymasterWhen I go to test your page it gives me a 404 error. Do you still have that test page up?
July 8, 2014 at 2:12 am #64061NevilleSpectatorthe page is private, but it should work. Here is the URL again just in case I got it wrong the first time.

can you please try it again and tell me what happens?
It appears that my download links are working again, but this has happened before. I’m not sure why it’s working now and I’m not sure why it stops working sometimes.
July 8, 2014 at 10:57 pm #64062adminKeymasterA private page is not going to be accessible from outside. It is only visible when you are logged into the site as admin.
If you have made some changes according to the checklist and the encrypted links are working then you don’t have to worry about it.
July 9, 2014 at 7:20 pm #64063NevilleSpectatorI didn’t make any changes as far as the check list goes. the encryption semes to work sometimes and then it just doesn’t for some reason unknown to me.
I didn’t realize that private pages are only accessible to administrators. I thought that they were available to anyone the page is shared with, kind of like youtube videos. I am going to change the status of the page right now and repost the URL.
Here is the URL. [http://nevillepeter.com/free-downloads/]
July 10, 2014 at 1:32 am #64064adminKeymasterI did a couple of tests and the download just works for me (no issue).
For the mailchimp issue, I will need to see some debug data. Please go to the plugin settings and enable the debug option.
July 10, 2014 at 3:32 am #64065NevilleSpectatorAs far as I know, the debug option has all ready been enabled. what else do you need me to do?
I didn’t have a problem with the download either, but I know for sure that the email I used was not subscribed to the specified Mail chimp list. How do I get the email of each buyer subscribed to a specified mail chimp list? I have enabled the API key, and I have all the appropriate boxes checked the way they should be. what am I missing?
July 10, 2014 at 3:58 am #64066adminKeymasterI checked it and the debug option wasn’t “ON” for sure. Go to eStore settings menu and check the “Enable Debug” checkbox then save the settings.
July 10, 2014 at 5:11 am #64067NevilleSpectatorOkay I just did it. I did it before, but forgot to save it. I think it’s saved now.
